Day 1 Live form Cuba MO pop. 3000

Sitting at the Missouri Hick BBQ having just enjoyed a fabulous BBQ dinner.  Famous Daves just wont be good enough any more.  Flight was smooth, (except for landing), day's been long but Route 66 is all we dreamed it would be.   Highlights of the day included going to "Chain of Rocks Bridge"  we were concerned that we weren't supossed to be there but when 20  bicycle mounted police came by and offered to take our picture, we decided it was OK.  Next stop was the Gate Way Arch.  Got some good pictures but we don't have a computer so maybe tomorrow!  Ted Drewes Custard is a famous spot on route 66 and my raspberry, hot fudge, macadamia nut custad was worth every calorie!  Went to the Route 66 State Park which was closing as was the Merimac CAVES.  Tonight we are staying in the Wagon Wheel Hotel.  For those of you who have children, ( and some who don't) this is the hotel where Sally from the movie Car's was disappointed that it was closed.  Karen learned how to play Rock, Scissors, Paper and now gets a bed to herself!
